Red Bull Celebration Day

Saturday, December 10th - Milton Keynes

Milton Keynes is the home to the Red Bull F1 factory.  In fact I drive by it everyday.

This year drivers Sebastian Vettel, and Mark Webber won 12 of 19 races and Red Bull decided to celebrate by closing down Midsummer Boulevard in Milton Keynes for some autosport.

Midsummer is the street in front of the Jury's Inn that I lived out of for 3 months when I first got here.  It runs between the train station and mall, one of the only streets in MK without roundabouts.

Around 100,000 spectators showed up to watch Red Bull run the F1 cars, a stunt bike and the Nascar car up and down the main drag.

The cars are so low it was tough to see them as they flashed by.  Burnouts on top of the overpass, however, were easy to see.

...and a good time was had by all.  (l-r) Me, James, Graham, Matt and Kev.

  1. Great picture, who took it? Are these guys you work with?

  2. What a great picture of you. Got to love that smile. Can't wait for you to get home.
