Professional Communication In Email

Steve, global procurement manager for a large customer, sent me an email today.  "Nick, at the Gillingham plant would like to talk to someone about bringing your program into his plant".

I email my boss, Steve.  "Steve, do you want me to call the plant?  Last time the discussions were delayed by co-worker #1 and boss #2.  In the end we only managed to piss them off."

Phone rings; "Hi Chris, this is Steve from large customer.  Yeah, I think it would be great if you could talk to the plant.  As you pointed out, we don't want a repeat of last time."
